The founder of Stretch Bands Mr. D. V. Mody established the company in 1976 in partnership with Mr. R. D. Mehta.

The duo started the business by weaving oriented needle looms with a mere investment strategy. Their small seed then grew into a prodigious establishment in the immediate years. Reckoning the vast potential of elastics and the laces in utility & aesthetics, Stretch Bands looked for new-age technology worldwide.

Research and Development
During the R & D phase, design & development was accorded equal importance. In the ever changing world of new/improved elastic bands; quality control and research played an important role at Stretch Bands. State-of- the-art machinery, technologically updated know-how, advanced training abroad for the technical personnel everything contributed to the excellence of the quality products.

The markets which hitherto where in search of High Quality Elastics, approached Stretch Bands for business. Consequently, Stretch Bands has achieved a ten thousand percent growth in less than 3 decades.

Designs are created to suit client's specifications and their needs with multiple raw material options (cotton, PA, PE, PP, Acrylic etc.)

A well trained and experienced R&D team is involved in constant research to produce better and superior quality elastics for the greater comfort and durability.

Elastics for Ladies Intimate Wear with lighter and smoother texture are constantly evolved in our Research & Development department. To cater to the medical- rehabilitation industry with highly effective & breathable elastics including twill tapes forms focus of our development. We concentrate on producing thinner & stronger laces and tapes to give it a seamless look.
Our research also focuses on effective quality testing to ensure that deviations remain within permissible limits; the ultimate goal being zero deviation at all times.
